Fair-Amount Food Forest is an initiative to create an open-harvest, community-driven, and community-defined public food forest. This project can foster teamwork, leadership, and community resiliency, and will be accomplished through a transparent and inclusive community process. This is a fun, social, artistic, productive, and tangible solution to many issues of our times that is easy to engage in. Please contact us to help bring it to fruition!
The food forest is to be educational. There will be demonstrations of a wide variety of food production and gardening techniques, sustainable infrastructure, and self-sufficiency with extensive signage. Workshops and school tours are to be hosted, and there is the potential for groups to adopt a section of this community powered learning laboratory.
