Our team will facilitate volunteer tasks and guide participants in edible plant identification and sustainable harvesting.  Following the Work Party we break for the Healthy Lite Bite to enjoy a delicious healthy snack prepared by Chef Gail with recipe and nutrition shares.  All ages and experience levels welcome!

Weekly Farm Days, Community Garden Nights & Harvests

Tuesdays begin March 17th
Tuesdays mid-March through November 12-7pm
(noon 'til dusk) 4-7pm Guided Harvest
Thursdays 4-7pm April through November (occasionally paired with Workshops)

*Tuesdays and Thursdays end at 6pm in October and 5pm in November*
Weekly evenings of garden tending, harvest and distribution efforts
New gardens need regular TLC, and we facilitate regular group harvests that send volunteers home with goods and direct produce into neighborhood food pantries, educational programs, and other local points of access.
Join us here to create a deeper relationship with the land while cultivating and sharing food forest abundance.
The food forest is always open to walk-in and enjoy, while harvesting with us during scheduled times creates more opportunity for an exchange & education around plant identification, food safety, & regenerative harvesting practices.

Third-Saturday Edible Plant Walks & Herbal Circle Workshops

March 21st is our first Edible Plant Walk w/ Guided Foraging and an Intro to Herbal Circle
Workshops will begin in April
Edible Plant Walks & Guided Foraging have been extended 1-3:30pm

Edible Plant Walk 1:00-3:30pm, Workshop 3:30-5:30pm

Join us for free Tours with Guided Foraging & Workshops in partnership with local Philadelphia educators highlighting the safe harvest, preparation and use of herbs.

We start the afternoon with an Edible Plant Walk around the Food Forest, with each session influenced by plants in abundance at the time, what questions people have, and the topic that will be offered in the Workshop.
